Radio ADN talks to Patricio Rojas, CEO of KPC España, about international investment in Spain

Our founding partner Patricio Rojas is a perfect example of successful Chileans making an impact abroad. In his recent radio interview with the team at Radio ADN, he reflects on the evolution of his professional journey, both in Chile and internationally.

The interview also offers insight into the current position of KPC España and highlights key projects such as Golden Eight, a luxury villa development in the city of Marbella.

In the Radio ADN interview with Patricio Rojas, it became clear that KPC has always maintained a strong focus on international investment: “We created Impulsa around 16 years ago, and we’ve always had a global outlook, with projects in places like Costa Rica, Argentina, and more. And the results speak for themselves—today, with our new KPC España project, we’ve now been established in Málaga for 10 years.”

Patricio makes it clear that KPC’s experience in Chile, a highly dynamic industry on par with the world’s most developed economies, is a unique and exclusive value that sets the company apart from other real estate investors.
“Ten years ago, we began shaping our brand and business by bringing value and fresh ideas to the Spanish real estate market, where we’ve developed several projects, including Spain’s first man-made lagoon,” he noted.

Three years ago, Patricio made the decision to move to Málaga with Claudio and Karin—an important step that led to the creation of what is now KPC España. As Patricio explains, the name KPC comes from the initials of Karin, Patricio, and Claudio, the founding partners behind the brand, which specializes in the real estate sector.

While KPC continues to operate in Chile, the company is now firmly established in Málaga, where it is focusing its current and future development projects. As Patricio explains, “It’s an incredible region, and investment opportunities are on the rise for many reasons. People in Málaga are very similar to us Chileans, which makes adapting easy. In Andalusia, the education system, the cultural life, and the overall lifestyle are very enjoyable.”

What can an investor expect from working with him?

“Investors will find in me a partner, a friend—someone they can invest in future projects with, but who can also show them the best places to go: charming towns, hidden corners, and the ideal spots to enjoy tennis, golf, and other sports. Málaga is a spectacular place.”

For Patricio, creativity is key—and he believes Spain has all the right ingredients for the success of Chileans and Latin Americans.

Is it difficult for a Chilean to start a business or invest in Spain?

“Spain offers several options for Chileans who want to come here. You can take advantage of remote work while keeping your social security in Chile, or start a company as an entrepreneur. There’s a wide range of ways to make it happen.”

In short, Spain is a very attractive destination thanks to its balance between professional and personal life. The quality of life is a major added value when investing in real estate—and without a doubt, this has become one more reason to make the leap to this part of Europe.
